It directs you on your way both acoustically from 8 loudspeakers and visually on the colour TFT display, and is operated via touchscreen. You can choose between 2D or 3D map views. Top-class entertainment is also available en route since the system can not only play audio files in the formats MP3 or WMA while route guidance is active, video playback is possible too, while the vehicle is stationary. Additional features include the SD card slot and the generous 30 GB hard disk.

The R line equipment adds an ample helping of sportiness to the Touran. Features like sports suspension or the radiator grille with matt chrome double ribs define the model’s character. Sporty highlights in the interior, such as the multifunction leather steering wheel with aluminium trim, underscore its dynamic look. The Touran also wears its sporty emblem on the front wings: the R line logo.
