The Tiguan’s spacious interior is a place for forward thinkers: thanks to the intuitive controls of the driver-oriented cockpit, you can now concentrate entirely on the essentials. This is ensured by the multifunction steering wheel in leather, for instance. Or the Digital Cockpit Pro with its 26 cm (10.25 inch) TFT colour screen. From the Life specification package upwards, you take your seat in the front on especially pleasant comfort seats. And the ambient lighting creates a high-quality feel-good atmosphere, too.

The Tiguan is fully resplendent. This is not least ensured by the optional IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix headlights. They feature cornering lights and are supplemented with dark red rear lights as well as a dynamic high beam control: depending on the situation on the road, individual LED segments for light distribution are switched on or off selectively. This not only allows you to have relaxed car journeys, but also everyone driving in front of you or coming towards you. Another spectacular feature: the integrated dynamic turn signal that indicates the direction with flowing light movement.

Is more anticipatory than ever before

In the event of an impending rear-end collision, thanks to Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring, your Tiguan can help to reduce the severity of the accident or – ideally – avoid the accident altogether. It can detect pedestrians and vehicles on the road and warn the driver in good time if pedestrians and vehicles are detected. If the driver fails to respond, the system automatically initiates emergency braking.

This provides you with all-round protection

Within the limits of the system, the proactive occupant protection system ensures your safety in critical situations such as an impending collision. It can identify situations where there is a greater risk of accident. It then automatically closes the windows and the tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof and also tensions the front seat belts as a precautionary measure. It’s good to know it’s there. It’s better to never need it.

More power, less fuel

Petrol or diesel? Both are the right decision – for high efficiency, economy and suitability for everyday use. This is ensured by an intelligent combination of direct injection and turbocharging technology – known as TSI technology in petrol engines and TDI technology in diesel engines. The turbo diesel engines in your Tiguan use so-called twin dosing: by coupling two SCR catalytic converters, it is possible to achieve a further reduction in emissions.

The sun happens not to be shining? No problem. Even in wet, icy or bumpy conditions, the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive makes sure the engine’s power is distributed to all four wheels as required. This helps stop the wheels from spinning, improving your Tiguan’s traction on almost any surface. Or in other words: comfort comes first.

This includes the electronic driving profile selection 4MOTION Active Control – allowing you to get even more out of your permanent all-wheel drive.
