The Golf

The standard Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster uses a high-resolution 26 cm (10.25 inch) colour display to show you the content that matters to you. It’s up to you to decide: classic rev counter, speedometer and mileage recorder, possibly a visual display of your assist systems or a combination of navigation map and media display – all displayed in attractive graphics and animations.

With the optional intuitive voice control, you can use your voice to operate the radio, phone, optional three-zone air conditioning system and the optional navigation system in your Golf. You can select the radio station, address book entry or telephone number you’re looking for. And the Online Voice Control of We Connect Plus lets your Golf understand you better. You can choose your favourite music or a favourite destination in your navigation system quite intuitively.

The particularly striking feature is the fully digital cockpit with a large display landscape consisting of the 26 cm (10.25 inch) Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster and the 20.9 cm (8.25 inch) touchscreen of the Composition radio. The intuitive touch control replaces a number of switches, buttons and controls. The optional background lighting with up to 30 different colours enables you to customise the interior atmosphere. Despite all the digital innovations, the typical Golf feeling is still there.

Which wheel and tyre combination is right for your Golf is a matter of opinion. However, we are certain that you’ll make the right choice.

The Golf equipped with the optional Park Assist function can not only tell you whether a parking space is big enough as you drive past, it can also park there for you. You operate the clutch, accelerator and brake. It does all the rest.

• Sensors scan suitable parking spaces (up to max. 40 km/h). 
• Parallel parking spaces must be at least the same length as the car plus 80 cm room to manoeuvre for driving into a parking space. There must be at least 25 cm in front of and behind the car for driving out of a parking space. 
• In parking bays, there must be at 35 cm of space on both sides.

The optional lane change assistant uses LED lights in the exterior mirrors to show the presence of other vehicles in your blind spot or driving up to 50 metres behind you. When you indicate to change lanes, the system can calculate from the position and speed whether one of these vehicles could be a danger to you – and flash to warn you.
