Destination and Route Import
Practical: Already plan your journey before getting in, conveniently from your smartphone. Via the Volkswagen App you can import routes with up to ten charging stops and intermediate destinations into your vehicle – all you have to do is get in and start the navigation.
Charge and thermal management for the battery
The charge and thermal management can already ensure during the journey that the battery of your ID. is prepared for the next charging stop. As required, the battery cells can be cooled or heated here, so they are always charged with optimum temperature and therefore especially efficiently. With active navigation system route guidance this works automatically, as soon as a charging phase is planned onto the route. Alternatively the system can also be activated manually. In addition to the charging function, the Battery Care Mode, which can “care” for the battery in the most different situations, has also been improved.
Infotainment with Car Control Center
A true multi-talent: The optically and functionally re-designed Infotainment system of the ID. combines intuitive operation with a clear menu structure and can be customised according to your wishes. Via the home screen you can access the most important apps. One highlight is the new Car Control Center, which directly controls the central functions of your ID. This can also be configured individually. If an app is opened, both the Car Control Center and the main menu remain visible, so you have an overview at all times. Additionally there are also four freely assignable favourite apps, via which you can open your favourite functions with a single click – just as you know it on a modern smartphone.
Remote vehicle diagnosis – immediate help for on the road
The remote vehicle diagnosis function allows you to perform a remote diagnosis of your vehicle directly via the Volkswagen app, and therefore provides swift support with possible problems. The vehicle transfer data is wireless, and you receive immediate diagnosis infos and recommendations for action – conveniently per remote access. With the help of the recommendations for action you decide whether further steps, such as a service appointment, are required. You are therefore always informed and can avoid unnecessary visits to the garage.
In-Car App vehicle service – maintenance, before anything happens
The In-Car App vehicle service informs you in good time about upcoming repairs and maintenance. You can then arrange an appointment with your preferred service partner early on and prevent greater damage or unexpected breakdowns. Additionally you can also set reminders for repeat events, such as seasonal tyre changes or the TÜV® visit, to ensure you are notified in good time – for greater everyday safety and planning certainty.
AR Creator expansion – more in view
Make your driving experience even more intuitive and safer: Thanks to new functions such as warning about local hazards, an improved lane keeping system and automatic day and night mode, the information in the AR-Head-Up-Display (AR-HUD) is optimally displayed. You then keep important information such as navigation, distance warnings or roundabouts in view at all times, without losing sight of the traffic. Additionally there is also a demo mode for the AR functions, which you can try out when stationary – and seasonal animations for an atmospheric driving experience.
Faster charging – thanks to smarter battery
With the new fast charging-preconditioning, the high-voltage battery of your ID. can be charged even more efficiently – even with low ambient temperatures. Already during the journey the battery is prepared for the optimum charge level, to shorten the charging times at planned charging stations. You can activate the preconditioning either automatically along the navigation route or manually via the charging menu – for shorter charging times and maximum efficiency.
